North Africa the wait is over! 

As we prepare for our official launch on 8th March 2025, Career Indaba® is your go-to platform for thriving in the employment landscape. We are on a mission to uncover actionable solutions to employment challenges in a rapidly evolving global economy. 

Broadening our versatile multi-platform employment network to North Africa, including countries such as Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia, we are taking Africa to the next level.  

Built on values of growth, sustainability and collaboration, our main purpose is to explore how governments, private sectors, learning institutions and communities are working together to bridge the employment gap and collaborate to build a future where Africa’s labour market thrives. 

In North Africa, the unemployment rate was estimated at 11.15% in 2024, reflecting a gradual decrease from a peak of 13.1% in 2015. In 2024, the unemployment rate among women was projected at 20.5%, significantly higher than the 8.4% observed among men.  

At Career Indaba®, we are dedicated to addressing the critical issue of gender inequality in employment by creating a platform that empowers women to access meaningful opportunities and thrive in the workforce. Our approach includes promoting inclusive hiring practices, providing targeted skills development programs for women, and partnering with organizations committed to closing the gender gap in leadership roles. 

By promoting equitable workplace policies and offering resources to help women overcome barriers, we aim to ensure fair representation and career growth across all sectors. This commitment aligns with our broader goal of contributing to 7 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—with a specific focus on achieving gender equality by 2030.
