Transforming the East African Employment Landscape 

As we prepare for our official launch on 8th March 2025, Career Indaba® is excited to extend our dynamic employment network to the vibrant communities of East Africa, including countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Sudan, DRC, Rwanda and many more. Our mission is to drive sustainable employment growth, develop Africa’s economy, and enhance global competitiveness across the continent. 

In East Africa, the unemployment rate was estimated at 4.74% in 2024, the lowest among African regions.  However, challenges persist, particularly among the youth. Between 2019 and 2023, the youth unemployment rate in Eastern Africa increased by 0.4 percentage, indicating a need for targeted interventions to support young job seekers.  

Career Indaba® is committed to addressing these challenges by providing a platform that connects job seekers with meaningful opportunities, supports employers in finding the right talent, and contributes to the achievement of 7 out of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
