OVERVIEW
CAREER INDABA
OUR STORY
Career Indaba® is a non-profit employment, demand-led skills and labour market network advancing equitable access to sector-aligned pathways, powered by digital-first media. As a proudly South African-based and public-facing company, we bring together stakeholders across government, industry, education and civil society to reduce labour market fragmentation, strengthen sector-aligned workforce pathways and expand inclusive economic participation.
We deliver scalable and measurable socio-economic programmes with a strategic focus on youth aged 18–35, particularly those not in employment, education or training (NEET), while remaining inclusive of marginalised and vulnerable communities facing barriers to labour market participation.
Founded in 2013, Career Indaba® is a Level 1 B-BBEE contributor and is pursuing Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) status. We partner with corporates through Socio-Economic Development (SED), Corporate Social Investment (CSI) and HR talent pipeline investments to deliver accountable and defensible socio-economic outcomes. We are committed to seeing unemployment reduced to single digits, closing skills mismatches, and expanding market access across South Africa’s formal and informal economies.
